Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are a type of nonsurgical cosmetic procedure that plump lips, soften facial wrinkles and creases, add volume to help lift and shape cheeks, restoring fullness, and adding a more refreshed, youthful appearance.
As we age, our body starts to lose collagen. Collagen is a substance that is found all over our bodies, including your skin, muscles, connective tissues and bones. Decreased amounts of collagen in your skin causes skin laxity and loss of volume. Sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle can also contribute to the loss. Dermal fillers can be used to restore volume, smooths wrinkles in your face and are used to plump lip and cheeks creating a more youthful appearance.
Dermal Fillers are made of Hyaluronic acid. This is a clear, lubricating substance that is produced by the body naturally. Hyaluronic acid helps retain collagen and provides elasticity and
flexibility to the skin, so that it appears plumper. The dermal fillers last six months to a year
depending on the filler used.
