What is KYBELLA®?
KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable proven to safely and effectively melt and destroy the fat cells underneath your chin. The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is deoxycholic acid that works to safely dissolve fat.
Deoxycholic acid is a bile acid, that is found naturally in the digestive tract where its function is to break down the fat in the foods we eat. When deoxycholic acid is injected to the fat under your skin, it breaks down the fat into tiny particles that are eliminated by the body.
This is a slow but steady process and the fat cells are eliminated within 4 to 6 weeks. Once destroyed these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat.
KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of
moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” It is not known if KYBELLA® is safe and effective for the treatment of fat outside of the submental area or in children under 18 years of age.
Do not receive KYBELLA® if you have an infection in the treatment area. Before receiving KYBELLA®, tell your healthcare provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you:
have had or plan to have surgery on your face, neck, or chin; have had cosmetic treatments on your face, neck, or chin; have had or have medical conditions in or near the neck area; have had or have trouble swallowing; have bleeding problems; are pregnant or plan to become pregnant (it is not known if KYBELLA® will harm your unborn baby); are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed (it is not known if KYBELLA® passes into your breast milk).
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. It is IMPORTANT tell your healthcare provider if you take a medicine that prevents the clotting of your blood (antiplatelet or

What to Expect
During the KYBELLA® treatment session, a series of small injections are strategically administered beneath the chin. These injections are performed with precision, ensuring that the treatment targets the submental fat while minimizing any discomfort. The number of injections required will depend on the individual and the severity of the submental fullness.
KYBELLA® offers numerous benefits beyond its ability to reduce double chin fat. The treatment is non-surgical, meaning it requires no incisions or anesthesia. This results in minimal downtime, allowing you to return to your regular activities with ease. Additionally, as KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, the results are long-lasting, providing you with a more defined and contoured jawline.
Following the KYBELLA® treatment, you may experience some temporary swelling, redness, or bruising in the treated area. These side effects are generally mild and subside over time. Our skilled medical professionals will provide you with post-treatment instructions to optimize your recovery and ensure your comfort.
